Footsteps Walking Festival to launch this weekend

‘GET your boots on’ is the message from Broxtowe Borough Council as the Footsteps Walking festival starts this weekend.

The programme of walks in and around the borough will be launched on Saturday with a 90-minute walk from Bramcote Hills Park ending at the annual Stapleford Carnival.

Other walks this week include a leaf hunt in Shipley Country Park from 11am on Saturday, a walk for health from Asda in Long Eaton from 10am on Monday and a walk and talk around Attenborough Nature Reserve from 5.45pm on Tuesday.

Festival partners include Erewash Valley Trail, The Wildlife Trust, Age UK and Nottinghamshire County NHS.

The programme was launched earlier this month at the Festival Inn, Trowell.
