Number of participants (average): around twenty-four thousand

Notable walks: 'Walk the Wight' (from Bembridge to The Needles, one side of the island to the other. (began before the festival, on Spring 1991 - it enrolls about 8 thousand walkers), Flat Walk the Wight, Fire walk, Ghost walks, Speed dating walks, Dinosaur walks,...

Walks for disabled persons? Yes

Price: most of the walks are free, some requires a donation, on few walks the walkers have to pay a few pounds

Notes: It's the largest walking festival in the UK

Sponsoring: the past six years the event has been sponsored by Ordnance Survey as part of a contract which ended with the 2009 event.
