Milstreet Autumn Walking Festival this Saturday

MILLSTREET will meet popular requests on the staging of an Autumn Walking festival on this Saturday.

In a follow up to a similar staging earlier in the year, patrons are warmed by an area encapsulated by a backdrop of a fascinating landscape that's a paradise for those interested in walking. Saturday's walks will cater for all levels of walking enthusiasms. A long walk follows in the footsteps of the O'Sullivan Beare march from Ballyvourney to Millstreet. .
The Claragh Loop is a moderate walk from Millstreet to the summit of Clara Mountain and allows the opportunity to view the magnificent view of the Blackwater Valley and the Derrynasaggart Mountains on the Cork/Kerry border.

 A shorter walk takes in the Mountleader Trail allowing patrons access through mature woodlands to emerge and view panoramic views of Musheramore, Coomatrush Waterfall and Millstreet's hinterland.

Promoted by the Millstreet Tourism Association, the venture offers an ideal opportunity to experience the autumn landscape that Millstreet and its environs. Organisers are confident that the event will attract large numbers to sample the culture, heritage and natural beauty of a proud region.
