Saturday - 16 July
John Knox Challenge Walk - 20 miles/32kmsFor experienced walkers. Rugged terrain and steep slopes, high Climbing around the Dove and Manifold Valleys
Route: Alstonefield to Wetton, Thor's Cave, Throwley. Ilam, Milldale, Coldeaton Bridge, Biggin Dale, Beresford Dale, Narrowdale and back to Alstonefield


Alternative shorter route of 12 miles/19kms
Starting and finishing point as above. After 3rd checkpoint at Milldale walkers return to Alstonefield
Detailed route descriptions are provided. 5 checkpoints en route (3 on the shorter option) where refreshments will be available and a free hot meal at the finish for all participants
Start and finish at Alstonefield Village Hall. Grid reference 130555
Registration opens at 07:00. Walkers start time is 08:00. Runners start time is 09:00

Sunday - 17 July
Wallaby Walk - 12 miles/19kms
A strenuous walk in Moorland countryside where wallabies once roamed! Starting at Tittesworth Reservoir, the route goes up to the Roaches then through Gradbach Woods to the mysterious Lud's Church. It continues to Hanging Stone and into the Dane Valley before heading back via Gun Hill
Bring a packed lunch
Start and finish at Tittesworth Reservoir Car Park. Grid reference 995604
Time - 10:00

Roaches Walk - 7 miles/11kms
A moderate walk featuring the iconic Roaches outcrop. Starting from Tittesworth Reservoir, the route goes through Upper Hulme village before ascending steeply up Hen Cloud followed by easy walking along the top of the Roaches, then returning across field paths to Meerbrook and Tittesworth
Bring a packed lunch
Start and finish at Tittesworth Reservoir Car Park. Grid reference 995604
Time 10:30am

Monday - 18 July
Harry's Walk - 10 miles/16kms
A fairly challenging walk which includes the craggy ridge of ancient coral reefs known as the Dragon's Back. Starting from Longnor, the route crosses the River Dove then ascends Chrome Hill from where there are fantastic views. It then descends into Hollinsclough before returning to Longnor via Parkhouse Hill (optional) and Earl Sterndale
Bring a packed lunch
Start and finish at Longnor Market Place. Grid reference 089649
Time - 10:30

Knypersley Pool and Greenway Bank - 5 miles/8kms
Enjoy panoramic views on a leisurely walk to Greenway Bank Country Park via Marshes Hill and Knypersley Pool. Return via the pleasant fields of Brown Edge Vale
Suitable for &lsquo Walking for Health &rsquo walkers
Bring a packed lunch
Start and finish at Marshes Hill Common Car Park. Grid reference 905548
