Saturday, September 17th

Urbanist Reviver Walk
Our Yoga Walk director, Leonor Mowry, will get us physically and mentally balanced so that we can better enjoy the benefits of walking as well as our natural environment. We will explore the Cedarvale Ravine, the Kay Gardner Beltline and the Forest Hill hood!
Meet at Starbucks at 446 Spadina Road

From Saturday, September 17 to Sunday, September 18
Temagami

Over the weekend of September 17th, 2011 Alex Mathias, an Ojibway Elder, will host his annual Changing of the Seasons Ceremony to celebrate the fall equinox on his traditional family territory in the Temagami region of Ontario.
On Saturday there will be a 'Changing of the Seasons' ceremony, a group potluck lunch, visits to Spirit Rock, and guided hikes through the old-growth forest. Attendees have the option of participating in group events after the ceremony, exploring the area on their own, or simply enjoying some quiet time on the lake. There is no structured agenda for the weekend and Sunday is an open day which may include a guided canoe excursion for those who are interested.

Toronto Botanical Gardens
The Fall colours should start appearing as we make our way through Wilket Creek, Sunnybrook Park, Glendon Forest, Sherwood Park & Alexander Muir Park.

Saturday, October 1st
Toronto Islands
We will Walk all the Islands and stop for a Picnic along the way, so bring your snacks. Should be charming!
Location: Meet at Ferry Dock at foot of Bay St.
Start Time: Meet at 9:30 am; Ferry leaves at 10:00 am SHARP

Sunday, October 9th
Rouge River Valley

What better way to give thanks to mother nature for a hike in the Rouge River Valley on the thanksgiving weekend!
Our Rhythm Walk director Eva Karpati will be making sure that we're all 'Walking in Rhythm' through the Rouge trails!
Location: Rouge River Valley - Meet at Pearse House, 1749 Meadowvale Road, Toronto.
Start Time: 10:30 a.m.
Duration: 2 hours
Parking: Rouge Valley Conservation Centre
TTC Access: 85B from Don Mills subway station, 86A from Kennedy subway station, or 85A from Rouge Hill GO station. Get off at the first stop north of Sheppard and walk east.
Moderate pace; narrow dirt paths, very hilly.
This is a Level 2 Walk

Tuesday, October 11th
Full Moon Walk
Weather permitting the Full "hunters" Moon Walk will tantalize our senses as we witness the rising moon from Lake Ontario at Toronto's Beach Boardwalk.

Hockley Valley
By popular demand we will be travelling to the glorious Hockley Valley near Orangevill to enjoy a challenging five hour hike through beautifully rugged, stoney, hilly terrain.

Saturday, October 22nd
Humber River Challenge

Be prepared for a 22k Walk starting at the Humber Arboretum and following the Humber River to Lake Ontario!
We will be arranging for a bus to pick us up at York Mills subway at 9am and taking us to the Arboretum starting place and then pick us up at the Lake Ontario finish and bring us back to York Mills Subway Station!
There will be a small cost for the bus of approximately $30/person and we need 50 people to make it work.
It's an All Day 6-7 hour event.
Location: Humber Arboretum - meet at Humberwood Community Centre, 850 Humberwood Blvd. (south parking lot)
Start Time: 9:30 a.m. from Arboretum
Duration: 6-7 hours
Parking: Yes - Humberwood Community Centre
TTC Access: From Kipling subway station take the #191 Hwy 27 express bus North to Humberwood Community Centre.
