ST PATRICK'S DAY HILLWALKING FESTIVAL

Friday 16th  –  10pm 
Welcome Wine and Cracker Reception at  Ostán Oileán Acla to brief participants on walks festival timetable.

Saturday 17th 

 Walk with the Achill Pipebands    
This is a free day.  There is two options available:
(1)  A unique opportunity to walk and march with the Achill Pipe Bands through the villages of lower Achill and listen to the music of the highland pipes and drums .
(2)  Choose a route out of the Achill walks booklet.


Sunday 18th
 Croaghaun 688m  
Climb Achills highest hill via ‘Lukes Gulley’ which brings you on to the highest  seacliffs in Europe with its unforgettable and airy views.  Go where only the feral goats dare to tread.  Of course you will be guided by Tomás on this unforgetable climb.
 

Night walk.  
No it is not a pub crawl but an opportunity to Experience Achills views and wildlife
under the stars and full Moon. A headtorch or good handtorch will be required.


Monday19th

Knockmore 337m. 
 A surprising hill with lots of variety. There is an option to try an Abseil with Tomás.  All specialist equipment will be provided – no pressure.
