Caminhada 1
Rhiwddolion ‘The Lost Village’
• Terrain: forest tracks and river
• Length of walk: 13km / 8.5 miles
• Difficulty: moderate, 500m / 1650 ft ascent
• Approximate time: 5.5 hours
• Start: Betws-y-Coed
• Finish: Betws-y-Coed.
• Times and registration point TBC

This is a lovely walk heading up into the Gwydir forest, south of Betws-y-Coed. The walk leads to Llyn Elsi with fine views into the mountains, including Moel Siabod. Walkers can take in the old quarry village of Rhiwddolion and its echoes of history; then head on to Ty Hyll (The Ugly House) and through the artist’s wood, before following the Afon Llugwy (River Llugwy) back to Betws-y-Coed. This walk encounters all the influences on this beautiful area and will leave you wanting to do it again!

Caminhada  2
Capel Garmon ‘Tombs & Views’
• Terrain: forest and moorland
• Length of walk: 10 km / 6 miles
• Difficulty: moderate, 350m / 1155 ft ascent
• Approximate: 4.5 hours
• Start: Betws-y-Coed
• Finish: Betws-y-Coed.
• Times and registration point TBC

An historic walk taking in Neolithic tombs in the area, together with fine views across the Conwy, Lledr and Llugwy valleys. With an initial climb, the walk leads up onto Capel Garmon (the Church of Carmon) with rolling fields and views across Snowdonia. Walkers will visit a Neolithic tomb circa 2500 – 1900 BC, which descends gradually down to the original road before Thomas Telford built the A5. Walkers will head back to Betws-y-Coed with the Afon Conwy in the background.

Caminhada 3
Tryfan ‘All Hands on Rock’
• Terrain: rocky and exposed in sections
• Length of walk: 7 km / 4 miles
• Difficulty: mountain walking, 590m / 1950 ft ascent
• Approximate time: 6 hours
• Start: Milestone Buttress
• Finish: Ogwen Cottage.
• Times and registration point TBC

As you drive into the Ogwen Valley, Tryfan rises majestically from the A5. The proposed route will take walkers along the classic north ridge up to the summit, subject to weather conditions. You will take in the classic Cannon, captured in many photographs. At times exposed, the route requires a steady foot and at times hands as we make our way to the summit (915m / 3020ft). From here we follow the south ridge returning back to Ogwen Cottage. The Ogwen Valley will never be the same again.

Caminhada 4
Snowdon ‘Traverse the jewel of Wales’
• Terrain: rocky ridge and exposed in sections
• Length of Walk: 11km / 7 miles
• Difficulty: challenging climb, 821m / 2710 ft ascent
• Approximate time: 7 hours
• Start: Pen-y-Pass
• Finish: Watkin Path car park, Nant Gwynant
• Times and registration point TBC

The highest mountain in Wales dominates the skyline on a clear day. Most folk will go up and down the same way, but on this walk you will be making a traverse of the mountain, starting up the PYG track to the summit (1085m/3580 feet) and Hafod Eryri visitor centre. The south ridge will be taken on the way down, into the beautiful Cwm Llan and the Nant Gywnant valley.
