Evening reception at the Eildon Suite, Melrose Rugby Football Club.

Sábado 30 de Abril
Half day short guided walk - 10.30 am departing
Cauldshiels and River Tweed
Walk up through Rhymers Glen to Cauldshiels Loch, exploring part of Sir Walter Scott’s Abbotsford Estate before dropping down to the river Tweed passing in front of Abbotsford House and back to Melrose along the Borders Abbeys Way riverside path.
Distance: 121/2 km/8 miles.

Full day long guided walk - 10.00 am departing
Southern Upland Way – Black Hill – Leaderfoot - Newstead
A walk following the SUW past Gattonside before leaving it to climb the Black Hill above Earlston. Return down the woodland Leader Water path to Leaderfoot and Newstead.
Distance: 16km/10 miles.

Domingo 29 de Abril
May Day ascent of the Eildon Hills - 10.00 am departing
The classic ‘hill walk’ up the Eildons from Melrose traditional on May Day.
1½ to 2 hours

Half day short guided walk - 10.30 am departing
Circular Walk ‘Around the Eildons”
A walk circling the Eildon Hills and visiting the village of Bowden. with extensive views of the surrounding countryside.
Distance: 121/2 km/ 8 miles

Full day long guided walk - 9.30 am departing
Borders Abbeys Way – St Cuthbert’s Way
Starting form Melrose Abbey and making use of the Roman Heritage Way the route passes through the Roman Trimontium camp before reaching the River Tweed close to Old Melrose. Shortly it joins the Borders Abbeys Way crossing the Tweed to Dryburgh Abbey and on to Mertoun Bridge. Crossing back over the Tweed the walk follows the St Cuthbert’s Way back to Melrose via Bowden and the Eildon Hills.
Distance: 21 km/13 miles
