Saturday 23rd April: Start time: 09.30am.
Low Level Walk:
Diamond Hill: From the National Park in Letterfrack a well defined path takes us uphill to the summit.
Distance: 4 miles Time: 3 Hours Height gain: 440 metres.
A 1hr visit to Kylemore Abbey before or after the walk is also possible. (Please note that a €8 charge applies to enter the house and gardens.
High Level Walk:
Northern Bens: A nice Horseshoe walk to start -the hike takes in Knockbrack, Ben Bhreac and Binn Bhan.
Time: 4-5 hours Total height gain: 650 metres
Sunday 24th April: Start time: 10.30am.
Low Level Walk:
Today’s walk takes us north to Shramore Lodge, where we begin our walk on the Bangor Trail, an old drovers track deep in the Nephin mountain range. Our route merges with the Western Way and takes us back to our starting point. Distance about 8 miles on forest tracks with some boggy wet sections on the Bangor trail.
Time: 3 - 4 hours
High Level Walk:
Mweelrea Mountain: We start south west of Louisburgh at Dadreen and ascend to the saddle at 650m that runs in from Ben Bury. Turning South we climb on a broad ridge that offers stupendous
views of Killary Fjord and the islands.
Total height gain: 814m Time: 5 hours

Northern Bens in Connemara: A nice horseshoe walk to start - the hike takes in Knockbrack, Ben Bhreac and Binn Bhan and will take between 4-5 hours to complete

Sunday 8th April
Start time: 09.30am
Croughaun Mountain, Achill Island. We start from the beach at Keem and make our way uphill to the lookout tower at Moyteoge Head. Following the cliff trail towards Achill Head before descending to the saddle and climb to the summit of Croughaun. The hike finishes at Lough Accorymore.
This walk may be done in reverse depending on the wind direction.
Walk Details: Ascent 750 m, Time 5 hours.
NB: All walkers require proper walking boots with ankle support, fleece, hat, gloves, rainwear, rain protected rucksack and a supply of water and food.
