1. Walking Tour of Historical Drogheda 

Distance: 2 kms 
Length:  2 hours (approx)
Starting Point .The Tholsel (Tourist Office)
A highly entertaining guided walk that ,visits many of Drogheda's Historic Streets. .The route follows, St Laurence’s Gate, one of the finest examples of a barbican gate in Europe, the Old Town Walls at Featherbed Lane, St Peter's Churchyard,Magdalene Tower and much more.. Hear about the many famous people who played a part in the town's rich heritage .The People you will learn about include Kings, Poets, Saints, Villains and the inventor of the submarine!


2. Bru na Boinne Walk
Sat 4th June 10am 
Beginning 10.30am
Distance: 13 kms 
Length: 4 hours (approx)
Starting Point. Bru na Boinne Interpretive Centre
Description: Walk the ancient highways and byways of Bru Na Boinne. The route takes to the fields, farms and lanes around the famous Neolithic passage tombs. The river is associated with many myths and legends from the Salmon of Knowledge to the burial of Cormack Mac Art, the first Christian King of Ireland. Bru na Boinne is a UNESCO World Heritage site and its monuments predates Stonehenge and the Pyramids. This walk will provide unique views of the Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. The walk will enter Knowth where we will tour the site .The walk will finish at Bru Na Boinne Interpretive centre.
Public transport available back to Drogheda

3. Battle of the Boyne Walk
Sunday 5th June 10am 

Beginning 10.30am
Distance: 15 km 

Length: 4 hours approx
Starting Point. The D Hotel, Drogheda

Description: Walk from Drogheda along the banks of the river Boyne. St Patrick walked this way to light the fire signalling the arrival of Christianity to Ireland, Walk beneath the spectacular Cable Bridge to meet the Boyne canal. .The walk will visit the Battle of the Boyne site where Irelands biggest and most famous battle took place. At Oldbridge House experience living History display in this spectacular location. The walk will continue to the north side of the river taking in beautiful forestry and country lanes of Townley Hall estate. Transport back to Drogheda included.
