Bude Circular
We start with an easy flat walk along Bude’s historic canal path, passing many features along the way. Just before the turn off to where the inclined plane was we turn with a slight incline to cross several fields with great 360 degree views. Eventually the sight of the sea at Widemouth Bay draws us to the South West Coast Path going North back to Bude. Along this section are some interesting rock formations and evidence of coastal erosion. An exhilarating, undulating couple of miles drop back you back into Bude with a great view of the rare Sea Lock situated where the River Neet, Canal and town all meet the Coastline.

Trevalga Circular
This short manageable walk with some inclines gives you a good feel for the area and lovely views. Start by going out of Boscastle harbour, past the Coastwatch Lookout Tower and the Medieval field Systems on Forrabury Common, continue along the South West Coast Path for a short distance. Turn inland towards the Hamlet of Trevalga, a mainly farming area with interesting buildings and background. Return to Boscastle with a slightly different and more inland route.

Port Quin/Port Isaac
A challenging but very rewarding walk along a gorgeous section of the South West Coast Path towards Port Isaac. This is home of the popular Doc Martin TV series and the recently famed shanty singing ‘Fisherman’s Friends. However this always been a beautiful, traditional working harbour village loved by many.  Return via a quicker and flatter route just inland back to the beautiful cove of Port Quin.
10am 5 hrs  Circular Strenuous  Bring Lunch  Meet Port Quin NT Car Park

National Trust Circular Boscastle
This walk has some inclines which are taken at an easy pace with lots of information stops en route which takes in the coast, old village and surrounding land. Hear the Rangers talk about the flora & fauna and get an insight into the work of the Trust in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Climb Roughtor & Showery Tor
The Tors make a stunning landmark where the northern fringe of Bodmin Moor meets the fields and coastline of north Cornwall. The unique historic landscape is steeped in evidence of use from Neolithic times to the present day, including the infamous legend of Charlotte Dymond’s murder. It’s a breathtaking walk in its own right allowing far reaching views that include northern and southern coastlines on a clear day. (Short but fairly steep climb to the main Tor.)

Crackington Beach & St Gennys
We start with short session on the beach to inspire budding geologists with our local expert Jane Anderson. Crackington is world famous for its rock formations. Afterwards we take a short but steep walk up to the Cliff top before taking a fairly flat route past St Genny’s Church in its beautiful setting and down through the Valley via Lovers’ Lane back to the Haven car park. Various geological features will be pointed out en route.
10.30am  2/3 hrs   Circular Easy-Moderate  Meet Crackington Haven Car Park SX 142968

In the Footsteps of Hardy
Always a favourite, this walk takes in some of the haunts enjoyed by Thomas Hardy whilst courting Emma. He met his wife to be at The Rectory when he was an architect working on plans for the Church tower.
Listen to poetry readings and references to ‘A Pair of Blue Eyes’ at strategic points along this lovely route from the harbour, right up valley to visit St Juliot’s Church. Eat your packed lunch in the Rectory Gardens with Tea or Coffee courtesy of the owners. Afterwards trek across fields to the South West Coast Path to return to Boscastle.  The coastal part of this walk is strenuous so some Hardy fans may prefer to return to Boscastle under their own steam the way they came via valley.
10.45  5 hrs   Circular Strenuous  Bring lunch  Meet Boscastle NT Visitor Centre

Rock & Daymer Bay
A short, mainly flat walk from Daymer Bay along the Camel Estuary and around Brae Hill towards Rock. Enjoy some of the scenery favoured by John Betjeman. There is an opportunity on our return to visit St Enodoc Church where the former Poet Laureate, who died in Trebetherick, is buried
