ANNASCAUL WALKS - OCTOBER WALKING FESTIVAL

Friday 28th October
Night walk on Meelin Hill. Starting 7.30pm.
Begin Halloween wekend with a torchlight walk along Melin Ridge with eerie views of sea and valley. A festival highlight to be sure.
Grade; Easy; 2 hours.
Start; 19.30 (7.30 pm)



Saturday 29th October

“A” Walk, Mount Brandon.
The Pinnacle of West Kerry. A truly spectacular day’s walking.
Grade; Tough; 5 hours.
Start; 09.00
 

 “B” Walk, Macha na Bo.
Follow the footprints of our forefathers and travel the well trodden mountain path linking Annascaul to Cloghane.
Grade; Moderate. 3 hours.
Start; 09.00


“C” Walk, Tom Crean Trail.
Walk/revisit places of importance in the life of Tom, our famous Antartic explorer.
Grade; Easy, road walk, 3 hours.
Start; 10.00


Sunday 30th October
“A” Walk, Loch a’Duin circuit.
A challenging climb rewarded by views of the haunting beauty of the fortified lake at loch a ‘Duin.
Grade; Difficult, 5 hours.
Start; 09.00

“B” Walk, Connor Pass to Coumduff Lake. (Annascaul Lake)
Enjoy a walk along the Slieve Mish ridge with great views of the valleys and sea.
Grade; Moderate, 5 hours.
Start; 09.30

“C” Walk, Inch Beach Loop.
If you have’nt walked the full 8 miles, 12 km of Inch Beach, this is your chance.
Grade; Easy, 3 hours.
Start; 10.00



Monday 31st October
“A” Walk, Caherconree.
A great climb to the promintory fort at Caherconree.
Grade; Tough, 3 hours.
Start; 10.00

“B” Walk. The Stage.
The Stage road walk. A good road walk to finish the weekend with views of Inch and Annascaul Valley.
Grade; Moderate, 3 hours.
Start; 10.00
